A cinematic digital platform designed to make the firm’s project thinking feel as intentional as the architecture itself.
The firm’s digital presence did not match the caliber of its built work. Oversized visuals overpowered content, container widths and vertical rhythm were inconsistent, and the case-study pages lacked the narrative impact needed to communicate the thinking behind each project.
The experience needed the rhythm of a Valcarce building: intentional, immersive and emotionally controlled.
I began with the firm’s audience, positioning and competitive context, then shaped a modular story architecture around how developers, investors and design-conscious clients evaluate architectural work.
The resulting platform uses a tighter editorial grid, cleaner image-to-content balance and a repeatable sequence from project vision through challenge, approach, visual evidence and observable outcome. Bespoke architectural illustrations enter in the hero and recur through the page, creating continuity instead of isolated decorative moments.
The redesign brief called for a guided story, custom building illustration and hero video. I translated those requirements into one editorial system where motion establishes atmosphere, drawings explain intent and the grid keeps every project legible.

Instead of layering decorative interface elements over the work, the system uses type, proportion and negative space to frame the firm’s point of view. The project index remains scannable. The About narrative gains authority through real practice language. Hover states add discovery without hiding essential information.
The site now positions Valcarce alongside premium architecture practices and gives the team a scalable system for presenting every project as a distinct story. The ongoing partnership continues through refinement and new case-study additions.
